3.4 Yawise does not guarantee that any business idea, Launchpad, checklist, template, calculator, quiz or resource will be suitable for your specific circumstances.

4.4. Who Yawise is for

4.1 Yawise is mainly intended for people who are considering, planning, testing or starting a business.

4.2 This may include side businesses, sole traders, microbusinesses, small businesses, local services, online businesses, food businesses, professional services, creative businesses, shops, early-stage SMEs and other practical business types.

4.3 Some business types carry more risk, regulation or responsibility than others. You are responsible for checking the rules and requirements that apply to your own situation.

5.5. Yawise is not professional advice

5.1 Yawise provides general practical information only.

5.2 Yawise content is not legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, insurance, employment, health and safety, data protection, food safety, medical, professional, regulated or sector-specific advice.

5.3 This applies across all business types and circumstances. Some examples may refer to particular business categories, but those examples are not a complete list of business types, risks or responsibilities.

5.4 You should check current official guidance and speak to a qualified professional where needed, including where your business involves legal duties, tax, accounts, insurance, licences, regulated services, food, health, care, children, vulnerable people, animals, premises, transport, finance, data handling, employment, safety or other higher-risk areas.

5.5 Yawise may provide links, names, references or details for external resources, official bodies, advisers, tools, platforms, insurers, accountants, solicitors, brokers, consultants, software providers or other professional entities.

5.6 Unless we clearly say otherwise, a link, mention or reference does not mean that Yawise endorses, verifies, recommends or guarantees that third party.

5.7 Some links, recommendations or resources may involve affiliate, referral, partnership, sponsorship or commission arrangements. Where required, we will aim to make this clear.

5.8 You are responsible for deciding whether any external resource, adviser, professional, platform, provider or service is appropriate for you.

6.6. Your responsibility

6.1 You are responsible for the decisions you make when using Yawise.

6.2 This includes responsibility for:

  • deciding whether a business idea is suitable for you
  • checking current laws, rules and requirements
  • choosing the right business structure
  • registering with the correct organisations where required

  • checking health and safety responsibilities
  • checking data protection and privacy responsibilities
  • preparing suitable customer terms, policies and contracts
  • checking sector-specific rules
  • checking any information before relying on it

6.3 You are also responsible for checking your own business name, trading name, company name, domain, logo, brand identity, slogan, materials, content, images and other business assets.

6.4 Yawise is not responsible for checking whether your chosen name, brand, logo, content, materials, domain, business profile or other assets infringe another person’s intellectual property, trade mark, copyright, passing-off rights, company name rights or other legal rights.

6.5 You should make your own checks and get professional advice where needed before using or registering a business name, brand, logo, domain, trading style or other business material.

7.7. Accounts, access and security

7.1 You may need to create an account to access paid Launchpads, saved features, member-only resources or other account-based services.

7.2 You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.

7.3 You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

7.4 You must tell us as soon as reasonably possible if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

7.5 We may suspend, restrict, remove or end access to an account, content, feature, tool, Launchpad or part of the website for any lawful reason, including where:

  • you breach these terms
  • payment fails or is reversed
  • we suspect fraud, misuse, abuse or unauthorised access
  • you share paid access in a way that is not allowed
  • you use Yawise to break the law or infringe third-party rights
  • your use creates a security, technical, legal, operational or reputational risk
  • we need to protect the website, other users, Yawise or third parties
  • we discontinue, replace or materially change a feature or service

7.6 Where we suspend, restrict or remove account access, you may contact us to request a review. We are not required to reverse a decision, but we may review the situation at our discretion.

7.7 If the issue relates to a paid subscription, your rights may also depend on the Subscription Terms, Refund and Cancellation Policy and applicable consumer law.

8.8. Paid products and subscriptions

8.1 Some parts of Yawise may be free. Other parts may require payment.

8.2 Paid products may include Launchpads, subscriptions, member areas, templates, downloadable resources, tools, hosted features or other digital services.

8.3 Launchpads are a subscription-based digital service that may include digital content, online tools, templates, checklists, calculators, guidance, member-only access and related resources.

8.4 The specific rules for paid access, billing, renewals, cancellation, failed payments, refunds, account access after cancellation and inactivity cancellation are set out in the Subscription Terms and/or Refund and Cancellation Policy.

8.5 You should read the relevant paid-product information before buying.

8.6 Prices, offers, included features and subscription benefits may change from time to time. Changes to existing paid subscriptions will be handled in line with the applicable Subscription Terms.

9.9. Website content, accuracy and updates

9.1 We aim to make Yawise content useful, practical and reasonably accurate.

9.2 However, business rules, tax thresholds, official guidance, costs, software, platforms, insurance requirements, licences, legal duties and sector rules can change.

9.3 Yawise content may contain mistakes, omissions or outdated information.

9.4 You should check current official guidance and get professional advice where needed before acting on information from Yawise.

9.5 Yawise may provide a contact form or other method for users to report content they believe is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

9.6 We may use those reports to review and improve Yawise content, but submitting a report does not guarantee that we will investigate, accept, action, update, remove or respond to the report.

9.7 Unless required by law, we do not guarantee any specific timeframe for reviewing, correcting, updating or removing reported content.

9.8 We may update, edit, remove, replace or restructure website content at any time.

10.10. Calculators, financial examples and planning tools

10.1 Yawise calculators, estimators, quizzes, scoring tools and planning tools are for rough planning only.

10.2 They use simplified assumptions and cannot account for every cost, tax, National Insurance contribution, fee, rule, insurance requirement, local requirement, sector requirement, personal circumstance or business expense.

10.3 Yawise is not an accountant, tax adviser, financial adviser, investment adviser, insurance adviser or legal adviser.

10.4 Any figures, calculations, cost ranges, revenue examples, profit examples, pricing examples, tax references or financial assumptions are general estimates only.

10.5 You should not rely on Yawise calculators or examples as a substitute for checking your own figures, keeping proper records, getting quotes, checking tax rules, speaking to an accountant or taking professional advice.

10.6 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yawise is not responsible for losses, costs, missed obligations, tax issues, accounting issues, pricing mistakes, business decisions or financial outcomes caused by relying on rough estimates, calculators, examples or planning tools without making your own checks.

11.11. Templates, scripts and example materials

11.1 Yawise may provide templates, scripts, checklists, example wording, message prompts, profile copy, pricing examples, customer messages, quote wording, social media examples and other practical materials.

11.2 These materials are starting points only.

11.3 You are responsible for reviewing, editing and adapting them before using them in your own business.

11.4 Yawise does not guarantee that any template, script, checklist, message or example will be legally complete, commercially effective, suitable for your business, suitable for your customers or appropriate for your circumstances.

11.5 Yawise scripts and templates do not guarantee enquiries, sales, customers, bookings, reviews, revenue, profit, repeat business, responses, rankings, visibility, approvals or any other business result.

11.6 You should take professional advice where a document, message, policy, contract, customer term, disclaimer or regulated communication may create legal, financial, safety, tax, insurance or compliance consequences.

12.12. Intellectual property and use of Yawise materials

12.1 Yawise owns or licenses the website, branding, design, text, templates, Launchpad materials, tools, resources, structures, layouts, checklists, downloads and other content made available through the platform.

12.2 Subject to these terms and any specific product terms, you may use Yawise templates, scripts, checklists, downloads and resources for their intended purpose in planning, setting up, testing, operating or promoting your own business.

12.3 This may include adapting Yawise-provided templates or materials for use in your own business, customer communications, business setup documents or promotional materials.

12.4 You must not:

  • resell Yawise materials
  • redistribute Yawise materials as your own product
  • publish paid Yawise materials for others to copy
  • share paid resources outside your account or subscription
  • use Yawise materials to create a competing content library, Launchpad product, template product, course, membership, software product or similar business
  • scrape, copy or reproduce substantial parts of the website
  • remove Yawise branding, notices or rights information where it is required to remain

12.5 Some assets, downloads, tools or resources may have additional licence terms. In some cases, continued use may require an active subscription or continued licence. Where this applies, we will aim to make it clear.

12.6 We may change the licence terms for future materials or future versions of materials. Changes will not remove rights you have already been clearly granted unless the applicable terms allow this or the law permits it.

13.13. Acceptable use

13.1 You must use Yawise lawfully and responsibly.

  • use Yawise in a way that breaches another person’s rights
  • use Yawise to send spam or unlawful marketing
  • use Yawise content or tools to mislead customers, regulators, platforms or other third parties

13.3 We may take action if we believe you have breached this section, including suspending or removing access.

14.14. Third-party websites, tools and services

14.1 Yawise may link to or integrate with third-party websites, tools, software, platforms, payment providers, email providers, analytics providers, plugins, official guidance, professional services, insurers, advisers or other external resources.

14.2 We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, availability, pricing, policies, advice, recommendations, statements or actions.

14.3 Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms, privacy notices, cookie policies, fees and rules.

14.4 You should make your own checks before relying on, buying from, contacting or sharing information with a third party.

14.5 Where Yawise has a commercial, affiliate, referral, sponsorship or partnership relationship with a third party, we will aim to disclose this where required.

15.15. Website availability and changes

15.1 We aim to keep Yawise available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or permanent access.

15.2 The website may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, hosting issues, plugin issues, security issues, technical faults, third-party service problems or other reasons.

15.3 We may change, remove, pause, replace or discontinue parts of the website, including tools, pages, Launchpads, resources, templates, features, designs or account functions.

15.4 We are not responsible for losses caused by temporary unavailability, changes, technical problems or discontinued features, except where the law says otherwise.

16.16. Marketing emails and communications

16.1 If you sign up for emails, newsletters or marketing communications, we may send you updates, resources, offers or product information.

16.2 You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or method provided.

16.3 We will handle personal information in line with our Privacy Notice.

16.4 More information about cookies and similar technologies is provided in our Cookie Policy.

17.1 Your use of Yawise may involve the collection and use of personal information.

17.2 Our Privacy Notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, the lawful basis for using it, how long we keep it, who we share it with and your rights.

17.3 Our Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.

17.4 You should read both policies before using the website.

18.18. Limitation of liability

18.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

18.2 This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights you have that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

19.19. Consumer rights, refunds and cancellation

19.1 Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

19.2 Paid Launchpads and subscriptions are governed by the applicable Subscription Terms and Refund and Cancellation Policy.

19.3 Because Launchpads may include subscription access, digital content, online tools, templates and member-only services, cancellation and refund rights may depend on:

19.4 Before buying, you should read the product information, price, billing period, renewal terms, cancellation terms and refund information.

20.2 Please include enough detail for us to understand the issue, such as your account email, product, order reference, page URL or a clear explanation of the problem.

20.3 We will aim to review complaints fairly, but we do not guarantee that every complaint will result in the outcome requested.

20.4 If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved directly, alternative dispute resolution may be available depending on the nature of the dispute and whether an appropriate ADR provider applies.

20.5 These terms do not prevent you from using any legal rights or remedies available to you.

21.21. Changes to these terms

21.1 We may update these terms from time to time.

21.2 The updated version will be posted on the website with a new “last updated” date.

22.2 The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere in the UK.
