1.1. About this policy
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellation and refund requests work for paid Yawise subscriptions and related paid digital services.
It applies to monthly Yawise subscriptions, Launchpads, paid account access, digital content, templates, tools, calculators, quizzes, checklists, member-only resources and any other paid Yawise products that refer to this policy.
This policy should be read together with the Yawise Website Terms & Conditions, Subscription Terms, Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy.
2.2. About Yawise subscriptions
Yawise Launchpads are a subscription-based digital service. They may include digital content, online tools, templates, calculators, quizzes, checklists, examples, member-only resources and account-based access.
Yawise subscriptions may be used by consumers, sole traders, early-stage business owners and businesses. If you are acting as a consumer, nothing in this policy removes any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Yawise subscriptions are currently monthly rolling subscriptions. The minimum contract length is one month.
3.3. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your monthly Yawise subscription at any time.
Cancellation stops future billing. After ordinary cancellation, your paid access will continue until the end of your current paid billing period unless we tell you otherwise, a refund is issued, or your access is removed because of a breach of the terms.
You can cancel by logging into your Yawise account and following this route:
- Account
- Membership Account
- Cancel
If the online cancellation route is not working, you can contact Yawise for cancellation support using the contact details at the end of this policy.
You are responsible for cancelling before your next renewal date if you do not want your subscription to renew.
4.4. Immediate access and cancellation rights
Yawise subscriptions normally provide access to digital content and online services immediately after payment.
At checkout, Yawise may ask you to confirm that you want immediate access to the paid digital content and services, and that you understand this may affect your cancellation and refund rights.
Where the law gives you cancellation rights, those rights may depend on what you bought, whether access has started, whether you agreed to immediate access, whether digital content or services have already been supplied, and whether you are acting as a consumer or as a business customer.
This policy does not remove any cancellation or refund rights that apply by law.
5.5. Our default refund position
Yawise aims to be fair, but refunds are not automatic once immediate access to paid digital content and services has started.
Unless required by law or agreed by Yawise, we do not usually give refunds because:
- you changed your mind after access started;
- you did not use the Launchpad or member area;
- you forgot to cancel before renewal;
- you did not complete the Launchpad;
- you did not start a business;
- you did not get sales, customers, enquiries, reviews, revenue, profit, rankings, funding, approvals or other business outcomes;
- your business idea, circumstances, confidence, budget or plans changed;
- you disagree with general guidance after accessing the content;
- Launchpad content, templates, tools or resources have been updated, reorganised, replaced or changed as part of normal product development;
- you were suspended or removed for breaching the Website Terms, Subscription Terms or this policy.
Ordinary cancellation does not automatically create a refund for unused time in the current billing period.
6.6. Goodwill refund requests
Yawise reserves the right to consider goodwill refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
Goodwill refunds are discretionary. Asking for a refund does not guarantee that a refund will be approved. If Yawise approves a goodwill refund for one user, this does not mean the same outcome must be offered to other users.
Refunds are currently cash-only. Where possible, any approved refund will be returned to the original payment method. Yawise does not currently offer account credit as a standard refund alternative.
To request a refund, contact Yawise with:
- the email address on your Yawise account;
- the payment date or order reference, if available;
- the reason for the request;
- any relevant screenshots or details, especially if the request relates to a technical access issue or billing error.
Yawise may approve, reject or partially approve a refund request. We do not promise a fixed review timeframe.
7.7. When refunds may be considered
Yawise may consider a refund where there is a fair reason to do so, including:
- a duplicate payment;
- an accidental duplicate subscription;
- a clear billing error;
- payment taken after a confirmed cancellation;
- a serious unresolved technical access issue caused by Yawise;
- an incorrect charge amount;
- a statutory cancellation or refund right applies;
- Yawise withdraws a paid product during a paid period without providing a reasonable alternative.
Each request will depend on the facts and the applicable law.
8.8. Buying the wrong Launchpad
If you buy the wrong Launchpad, contact Yawise as soon as possible.
Where appropriate, Yawise may offer a switch to the intended Launchpad instead of a refund. Switch requests are discretionary and may depend on whether the Launchpad has been accessed or used, whether prices differ, whether the subscription level can be changed cleanly, and whether the request appears reasonable.
Buying the wrong Launchpad does not automatically create a refund right, especially once immediate access has started.
9.9. Inactivity auto-cancellation
Yawise may operate an inactivity auto-cancellation process as a customer-friendly feature to help avoid charging users who appear not to be using the service.
For this purpose, activity is measured by login. If you do not log in, you cannot use the Launchpad, dashboard or member features. Other actions, such as opening an email, do not count as activity for this process.
The inactivity sequence is:
- After 90 consecutive days without login, Yawise may send an inactivity reminder.
- After 105 consecutive days without login, Yawise may send a final inactivity warning.
- After 120 consecutive days without login, Yawise may cancel the subscription.
If Yawise cancels your subscription for inactivity, cancellation stops future billing. Access will usually continue until the end of any paid billing period unless Yawise confirms otherwise.
Inactivity auto-cancellation does not automatically refund previous subscription payments. You remain responsible for cancelling your subscription if you no longer want access.
Yawise does not guarantee that the inactivity system will always identify every inactive account, send every notice successfully or cancel every inactive subscription exactly on the dates above. You should not rely on inactivity auto-cancellation as your only cancellation method.
10.10. Failed payments
If a subscription payment fails, Yawise may retry payment, ask you to update your payment details, suspend access, restrict access or cancel the subscription.
If payment is not successfully taken, no refund is due for that failed payment. If payment later succeeds, the normal subscription and cancellation rules apply.
Yawise is not responsible for bank fees, overdraft fees, currency conversion fees or other charges applied by your bank, card provider or payment provider.
11.11. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you believe there has been a billing mistake, you should contact Yawise first so the issue can be reviewed.
If you raise a chargeback or payment dispute, Yawise may suspend or restrict account access while the dispute is investigated.
Fraudulent, abusive or repeated chargebacks may result in cancellation or removal of access. This does not affect valid consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12.12. Technical access problems
If you cannot access a paid product, you should report the issue to Yawise promptly.
Yawise may ask for information such as your account email, order details, screenshots, browser, device, payment confirmation or a description of the issue.
If a technical access issue is caused by Yawise and cannot be resolved within a reasonable period, Yawise may offer restored access, additional access time, a partial refund or a full refund, depending on the circumstances.
Refunds are not usually given for issues outside Yawise’s reasonable control, such as user device problems, forgotten passwords, blocked emails, browser extensions, user-side internet issues, incorrect login details or third-party outages.
13.13. Content changes
Launchpad content, templates, examples, tools, resources and member features may change without warning.
Yawise may update, edit, remove, reorganise, replace or restructure content to improve the product, remove outdated information, correct issues, reduce risk or reflect changes to the platform.
Yawise does not guarantee permanent access to any particular version of a Launchpad, page, template, tool or resource.
Content changes do not automatically create a refund right. However, Yawise may consider a refund or other remedy if a core paid feature is removed during a paid period and no reasonable alternative is provided.
14.14. No refund for business outcomes
Yawise provides practical guidance, tools and resources. It does not guarantee business success.
Refunds are not given simply because you do not make sales, get customers, receive enquiries, gain reviews, earn revenue, make profit, rank in search engines, get funding, receive approvals, complete a business setup task or successfully launch a business.
You are responsible for checking the rules, costs, risks, registrations, insurance, tax, licences, permissions, professional requirements and business decisions that apply to your own circumstances.
15.15. Refund processing
If Yawise approves a refund, it will usually be sent back to the original payment method used for purchase, where possible.
Refund processing times can depend on Stripe, banks, card providers and other payment systems. Yawise is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment providers or banks.
If a full refund is given, Yawise may remove paid access immediately. If a partial refund is given, Yawise may reduce, alter or end access depending on the circumstances.
16.16. Business and consumer users
This policy applies to both consumer and business subscribers.
Consumers may have statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Nothing in this policy removes those rights.
Business users may have fewer statutory cancellation rights than consumers, but Yawise may still consider reasonable refund requests at its discretion.
17.17. Future subscription changes
Yawise currently offers monthly rolling subscriptions. It does not currently offer free trials, discounted trial periods or annual subscription plans.
If Yawise later offers trials, discounted periods, annual plans, team access, business partner access, hosted profile subscriptions or other subscription types, additional terms may apply.
Yawise may update this policy if the law, product, payment setup, subscription model or cancellation process changes.
18.18. Relationship with other Yawise terms
This policy should be read with the Yawise Website Terms & Conditions and Subscription Terms.
If there is a conflict between this policy and rights that apply by law, the legal rights will apply.
If there is a conflict between this policy and specific written terms for a particular paid product, the specific product terms may apply to that product unless the law says otherwise.
