Depending on the tools enabled and your cookie choices, these services may collect information about how visitors use the site, such as:
- page views and traffic sources;

We aim to configure UX analytics tools so that sensitive fields are masked, redacted or excluded, especially on checkout, account, login and member areas. However, you should avoid entering sensitive information into forms or free-text fields unless it is necessary.
4.8 Information you choose to make public in future features
Yawise may later offer hosted business profiles, public listings, profile pages or other user-published features. If these features are introduced, we may process business profile details such as business name, services, prices, service area, contact information, images, logos, profile text and social links. These future features may have additional privacy wording or product-specific terms.
5.5. How we collect personal information

7.7. Quiz, calculator and Launchpad data
Yawise tools are designed to help users make practical decisions. This means some information you enter may be personal and context-rich, particularly when you are logged in.
Yawise may use quiz, calculator and Launchpad data to:
- provide quiz results, calculator outputs and Launchpad progress;
- save your progress where account features allow this;
- show you relevant content, tools or next steps within the product;
- understand, in aggregate, how users move through Yawise;
- improve site functionality, content structure, Launchpad flow, calculator usability and quiz logic.
Yawise may use aggregated and/or anonymised information to improve the platform. Individual quiz, calculator and Launchpad data is not used to sell individual user profiles, make legally significant decisions about users, or provide personalised legal, tax, accounting, financial, insurance or regulated professional advice.
If information has not been fully anonymised and could still identify you, we will treat it as personal information.
8.8. Analytics, cookies and UX tracking
Yawise may use cookies and similar technologies to run the website, remember preferences, understand site usage and improve user experience.
Some cookies are essential for the website to work, such as account login, checkout and security cookies. Other cookies and similar technologies are non-essential, such as analytics, heatmaps, session recording, A/B testing and marketing-related cookies.
Non-essential analytics and UX tracking should be controlled through our cookie banner or consent settings where required. You can find more detail in our Cookie Policy.
Analytics and UX tools may include Google Analytics, PostHog, VWO or similar services. These tools help us understand site performance, usability, conversion, onboarding, form friction and where users get stuck.
Where session replay or heatmap tools are used, we aim to configure them in a privacy-aware way, including masking or excluding sensitive fields and avoiding capture of passwords and payment details.
9.9. Sensitive information and special category data
Yawise does not intentionally ask you to provide special category data unless we clearly explain this at the time.
Special category data can include information about health, race or ethnicity, religion, political opinions, trade union membership, sex life, sexual orientation, genetic data and biometric data used for identification.
Please do not enter sensitive personal information into Yawise tools, forms, support messages or free-text fields unless it is necessary for your request.
If you choose to include sensitive information in a message, report, support request or free-text field, we may process it only as needed to deal with your request, provide the relevant service, protect our legal position or meet legal obligations.
If Yawise later deliberately collects special category data, we will update this Privacy Notice and identify the appropriate lawful basis and special category condition.
10.10. Marketing communications
Yawise may send you marketing emails, newsletters, product updates, launch updates, offers or practical business-starting resources where we are allowed to do so.
For individual subscribers, we will usually rely on your consent unless a lawful soft opt-in applies. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
If you unsubscribe, we may keep a suppression record to make sure we do not send you further marketing emails where you have opted out.
Service messages, such as subscription confirmations, payment issues, account security messages, access updates or important legal notices, are not marketing emails and may still be sent where needed.
11.11. Who we share personal information with
Yawise may share personal information with trusted third parties where needed to run the website, provide services, take payments, communicate with users, analyse performance, comply with the law or protect our rights.
This may include:
- website hosting and infrastructure providers;
- WordPress, plugin, membership and security tools used to operate the site;
- payment processors and checkout providers;
- email marketing and transactional email providers;
- analytics and UX tools such as Google Analytics, PostHog, VWO or similar providers;
- customer support, form and CRM tools;
- accountants, bookkeepers, legal advisers, insurers and professional advisers;
- regulators, authorities, law enforcement or courts where legally required or reasonably necessary;
- a buyer, investor, successor or adviser if Yawise is involved in a business sale, merger, restructuring or investment process.
We do not sell your individual personal information to advertisers.
Where third parties process personal information for us, we expect them to handle it securely and only for the purposes we allow.
12.12. International transfers
Some of the tools and providers used by Yawise may process or store personal information outside the UK.
Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we will aim to use appropriate safeguards where required by data protection law. This may include adequacy arrangements, approved contractual safeguards or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
The exact providers and transfer arrangements may change as Yawise develops. The final published version of this notice should be checked against the live tools and providers used at the time.
13.13. How long we keep personal information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
Retention periods may depend on the type of information and why it is used. For example:
- account information may be kept while your account exists and for a reasonable period afterwards;
- subscription, payment, invoice and accounting records may be kept for legal, tax and accounting purposes;
- support messages and complaints may be kept for a reasonable period so we can deal with the issue and protect our legal position;
- Launchpad progress, quiz results, calculator outputs and workspace data may be kept while your account or subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so you can return to the service;
- marketing records may be kept until you unsubscribe or object, and suppression records may be kept afterwards;
- analytics information may be kept according to the settings of the relevant analytics provider;
- anonymised or aggregated information may be kept for longer because it no longer identifies individual users.
Yawise may define and review detailed retention periods as the product and technology stack develops.
14.14. How we protect personal information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
These may include account access controls, secure hosting, trusted payment providers, security tools, plugin updates, access restrictions and administrative safeguards.
No website, system or online service can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and telling us if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
15.15. Your rights
Depending on your circumstances, you may have rights under data protection law, including the right to:
- ask for access to your personal information;
- ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- ask for personal information to be deleted;
- ask us to restrict how we use your information;
- object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent;
- ask for certain information in a portable format;
- complain to the ICO.
These rights are not absolute and may depend on the type of information, our lawful basis and whether we need to keep information for legal, tax, accounting, security or dispute purposes.
To exercise your rights, contact us at [ADD PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL]. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
16.16. Automated decision-making and profiling
Yawise quizzes, calculators and tools may generate results, scores, estimates or suggested next steps based on the information you enter.
These outputs are intended to be practical guidance and planning support. They are not legal, tax, accounting, financial, insurance, professional or regulated advice.
Yawise does not use quiz, calculator or Launchpad data to make solely automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Yawise may use aggregated or anonymised information to improve product functionality, content and user experience.
17.17. Children
Yawise is intended for people who are considering, planning or running a business. It is not aimed at children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Yawise, contact us so we can review it.
18.18. Third-party links and services
Yawise may link to third-party websites, tools, professional services, official guidance, platforms or resources.
Third-party websites and services have their own privacy notices, cookie policies and terms. Yawise is not responsible for how those third parties use personal information.
You should review the relevant third-party privacy information before using their services or sharing personal information with them.
19.19. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how Yawise uses your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.

You may also have the right to seek a remedy through the courts.
20.20. Changes to this Privacy Notice
Yawise may update this Privacy Notice from time to time.
The updated version will be posted on the website with a new “last updated” date.
If we make material changes to how we use personal information, we will aim to provide additional notice where appropriate.
You should review this Privacy Notice regularly so you understand how Yawise uses personal information.
21.Appendix A – Future hosted profile and public listing features
This appendix is future-facing. It applies only if Yawise later offers hosted business profiles, public listings, business profile pages, user-published pages or similar features.
If these features are introduced, Yawise may collect, store, publish and manage business profile information that you choose to provide. This may include business name, trading name, services, prices, service area, opening hours, contact information, images, logos, social links, descriptions and other public-facing business details.
You will be responsible for making sure profile information is accurate, lawful and does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
Some profile information may be public. You should not add personal information to a public business profile unless you are happy for it to be visible.
Additional product-specific terms and privacy wording may apply before these features go live.
