1.1. About this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Yawise uses cookies and similar technologies on yawise.com and related Yawise pages, tools, account areas and member areas.
In this policy, “Yawise”, “we”, “us” and “our” means Yawise / Yawise Start.
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Notice, Website Terms and Conditions and Subscription Terms.
For simplicity, when we use the word “cookies” in this policy, we also mean similar technologies such as tags, pixels, scripts, local storage, device/browser identifiers and session recording tools where relevant.
2.2. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that may be stored on your computer, phone, tablet or other device when you visit a website. They help websites work, remember choices, understand how people use the site and improve the user experience.
Some cookies are set directly by Yawise. Others may be set by third-party providers that help us run the website, process payments, prevent spam, understand site usage or improve the service.
Cookies can be temporary, lasting only for your current browser session, or persistent, staying on your device for a longer period unless they expire or you delete them.
3.3. Our cookie banner and your choices
When you first visit Yawise, we aim to show a cookie banner or preference tool that lets you choose whether to allow optional cookies and similar technologies.
Yawise uses one optional consent category for non-essential analytics, UX improvement and tracking technologies. This keeps the choice simple while still allowing you to reject optional tracking.
Our cookie banner should use plain controls such as:
- Accept all
- Reject optional
- Manage cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the website, login, checkout, security, fraud prevention and consent settings need them to work.
Optional cookies should not be set unless you accept them. You can change your choice later using the cookie settings link or preference tool, where available.
4.4. Types of cookies and similar technologies we use
Yawise uses, or may use, the following types of cookies and similar technologies:
Strictly necessary cookies: needed for the website, login, subscription access, checkout, security, spam prevention, payment processing and remembering cookie choices.
Optional analytics and UX cookies: used to understand how people use Yawise, improve the website, measure content and tool performance, review form friction and improve user journeys.
Session replay, heatmap and form interaction tools: used where enabled to understand clicks, scrolls, movements, form interaction patterns and points of confusion or friction.
Marketing or advertising cookies: not currently a core Yawise MVP requirement unless listed in the cookie table, but may be added later if we use advertising, retargeting, affiliate tracking or conversion measurement.
Third-party service cookies: set by providers such as Stripe, Google Analytics, Google reCAPTCHA or other approved tools that support payment, security, analytics or site functionality.
5.5. Strictly necessary cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are needed to provide the website and services you request. You cannot turn these off through the Yawise cookie banner, although you may be able to block them in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop parts of the site working properly.
These cookies may be used for:
- keeping you logged in;
- allowing access to your account or paid Launchpad;
- supporting checkout and payment flows;
- remembering your cookie consent choice;
- protecting forms from spam and abuse;
- detecting fraud, suspicious activity or technical issues;
- keeping the website secure and stable;
- maintaining sessions while you move between pages.
6.6. Optional analytics and UX improvement cookies
Yawise currently uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the website. We may also use Google Tag Manager in future to help manage tags and scripts. Google Tag Manager does not always set cookies itself, but it may be used to load tools that do.
Yawise may also use UX analytics tools such as PostHog, VWO or similar tools. Where active, these tools may provide heatmaps, session replay, form interaction analysis, click tracking, scroll tracking and friction analysis.
These optional tools may help us understand:
- which pages and Launchpads are used;
- how users move through the site;
- which forms, buttons or steps cause friction;
- whether quizzes, calculators and Launchpad sections are clear;
- which content, tools or routes help users move forward;
- site performance and usability issues.
Yawise may use this information in an aggregated way to improve site functionality, content, forms, Launchpad structure, checkout experience, onboarding and product development.
Yawise does not use individual analytics, quiz, calculator or Launchpad interaction data to sell individual user profiles or to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Session replay and heatmap tools are not intended to collect passwords, payment card details or sensitive personal information. Where possible, sensitive fields, checkout pages, account pages and member workspace areas should be masked, redacted or excluded from session recording.
7.7. Google Analytics 4
Yawise currently uses Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_[property/container ID] to distinguish users and sessions, measure engagement and produce site usage statistics.
Google Analytics helps us understand traffic sources, page views, events, approximate location, device/browser information and general behaviour on the website.
We aim to use Google Analytics for measurement and improvement, not to identify individual users by name.
Google Analytics should be controlled through the optional cookie category, unless Yawise later configures a lawful and compliant analytics setup that does not require consent under the rules then in force.
8.8. Google Tag Manager
Yawise may use Google Tag Manager in future. Google Tag Manager is a tag management tool that can help deploy or manage scripts such as analytics, conversion tracking or UX tools.
If we use Google Tag Manager, the important point is not only the tag manager itself, but which tags and scripts it loads. Any non-essential tags loaded through Google Tag Manager should follow your cookie consent choice.
If Google Tag Manager is added, the cookie table and consent setup should be reviewed and updated.
9.9. reCAPTCHA and security tools
Yawise uses Google reCAPTCHA to help protect forms and website features from spam, bots, fraud, abuse and automated misuse.
reCAPTCHA may use cookies and similar technologies to perform risk analysis and security checks. Google states that reCAPTCHA sets a necessary _GRECAPTCHA cookie when executed for risk analysis.
We treat reCAPTCHA as a security and abuse-prevention tool. If you block it, some forms or website features may not work properly.
10.10. Stripe payment cookies
Yawise uses Stripe to process payments. Stripe may set cookies and similar technologies during checkout or payment-related interactions.
Stripe may use cookies for purposes such as making payment services work, detecting and preventing fraud, protecting transactions, remembering relevant settings and supporting secure payment processing.
Stripe’s own privacy and cookie information may also apply when you use Stripe-powered payment services.
11.11. Quiz, calculator, Launchpad and member-area tracking
Yawise may collect and store certain account, progress and interaction information when you are logged in and use quizzes, calculators, Launchpads or member areas.
Some of this information is needed to provide the service, such as saving checklist progress, keeping your account session active or showing the correct Launchpad access. That type of use may not depend on optional cookie consent if it is necessary to provide the account or subscription service.
Separate analytics or UX tracking of quizzes, calculators, Launchpads, forms and member journeys should follow your optional cookie choice where collected through non-essential analytics or replay tools.
Logged-in quiz answers, calculator inputs and Launchpad activity may be personal data where linked to your account. More detail is provided in the Yawise Privacy Notice.
12.12. Marketing and advertising cookies
Yawise does not currently rely on behavioural advertising or retargeting cookies unless they are listed in the cookie table or shown in the cookie consent tool.
If Yawise later uses advertising, retargeting, affiliate tracking, conversion pixels, social media pixels or similar marketing technologies, these should be added to the optional cookie category and disclosed in this policy.
Examples may include Google Ads conversion tracking, Meta Pixel, affiliate/referral tracking or similar tools.
13.13. Cookie table
The table below is a working cookie inventory. It should be completed and checked against an actual cookie scan before publication.

14.14. Third-party tools and cookies
Some cookies and similar technologies are provided by third parties. These third parties may process information according to their own privacy notices, cookie policies and service terms.
Third-party providers used by Yawise may include:
- Google Analytics;
- Google Tag Manager, if enabled;
- Google reCAPTCHA;
- Stripe;
- PostHog, VWO or similar UX analytics tools, if enabled;
- WordPress plugins that support consent, membership, security, forms or checkout;
- email, hosting, security, analytics or product tools used to operate Yawise.
Rejecting optional cookies may reduce analytics and UX tracking. Blocking essential or third-party security/payment cookies in your browser may stop forms, login, checkout or paid access working properly.
15.15. How to change your cookie choices
You can change your optional cookie choice using the Yawise cookie settings tool where available. Yawise should provide a clear link such as “Cookie Settings” or “Manage Cookies”, normally in the website footer.
Changing your choice will affect future use of optional cookies. It may not automatically delete cookies already stored on your device. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings.
16.16. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. The exact controls depend on your browser and device.
If you block all cookies, parts of Yawise may not work properly. This may affect login, account access, checkout, security checks, paid Launchpad access, form submissions and saved preferences.
17.17. Changes to this Cookie Policy
Yawise may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, especially when we add, remove or change tools, plugins, analytics services, UX tools, payment services, advertising tags, consent tools or hosted profile features.
The updated version will be posted on the website with a new “last updated” date.
We should review this policy and the cookie table whenever we add or change Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, PostHog, VWO, Stripe settings, reCAPTCHA, advertising pixels, affiliate tracking, membership plugins, checkout tools or consent plugins.
